PALRUF® INDUSTRIAL IBR PVC SHEET

Flat solid UV-stabilized PVC sheets for a diverse range of applications

ALRUF corrugated PVC panel combines excellent resistance to chemicals and fire.

IBR 2mm UV STABILIZED AVAILABLE IN SOUTHERN AFRICA. Compact, resulting in an extremely durable roofing solution. PALRUF PVC panel withstands harsh chemical environments as chemical plants, storage, mines, ports and more.

WHY AVOID METAL IN CHEMICALLY AGGRESSIVE AND CORROSIVE ENVIRONMENTS?

Agricultural environments such as barns, pigpens, hen houses, dairies, and stables can present hygienic and cleaning challenges for any roofing or cladding material. Gases such as ammonia and hydrogen are common in livestock feeding or housing environments, and they are the source of quick and widespread rust and corrosion for metal roofs and partitions. This corrosion results in high maintenance and replacement costs. PALRUF IBR PVC roof panels and cladding sheets offer a corrosion-free and chemical-resistant alternative that provides farmers with years of low cost, low maintenance and greater hygiene.

Industrial environments such as mining and chemical processing plants create dust and ash that, when combined with mist, rain, and perhaps even saltwater, coat the roofing with a layer that is highly corrosive to metals. But not in the case of PALRUF IBR PVC sheets. These solutions are virtually maintenance free as they can endure a wide variety of gases and chemicals for the life of the panel—and under the harshest conditions.

For best results, follow installation guidelines.

FABRICATION

FREE FOAM VS. CELUKA TECHNOLOGY

Free Foam and Celuka are the two predominant types of PVC foam board manufacturing technologies. While both of them have been available for some time, Palram favors the Free Foam method as it produces a more consistent density throughout PALIGHT PVC panel.

The cellular structure of the panel’s core is dense and, if manufactured to Palram’s high standards, does not contain voids or large air bubbles. Celuka PVC typically has a less dense core structure but has a harder “skin” on the outer surface which can sometimes result in chipping when cut.

The image shown here has been highlighted with blue to illustrate the typical thickness of the harder skin. If you look at the edge of the Celuka product, you’ll see chipping has occurred. Fabrication and milling of Free Foam PVC are generally easier and result in a better finish than Celuka products.
